What is 3D Water Based Ink for Shoes?

Hi guys, this is Grace. I’m a sales director at China Rainbow Screen Printing Supply Ltd. A customer recently asked about 3D water based ink for shoes. Today, I’m visiting a customer who specializes in footwear printing, utilizing our water based ink for the upper of sport shoes. I’ll share some photos and images for your understanding.

Footwear printing inks, or 3D water based ink for shoes, are specifically designed for printing decorative lines and patterns on shoe uppers and various types of footwear. This innovative fabric printing ink is made from water-based polyurethane resin, thickeners, eco-friendly film-forming additives, and other essential ingredients. The ink undergoes more than 10 precise processes to ensure quality and performance. It is compatible with a variety of substrates, including mesh, leather, and nylon cloth. Notably, the 3D water-based ink can withstand over 100,000 bends, meeting national standards and EU environmental regulations. This addresses the issues of bending, fracture, and durability that are often faced in high-end sports shoes, clothing fabrics, bags, and leather handbag industries.

The performance characteristics of 3D water based ink are categorized into three different feels: soft, neutral, and hard. It offers an obvious 3D effect, can endure more than 100,000 bends, has a viscosity of about 100,000, and a tensile strength above 5KG, with a yellowing resistance level of 4.5. It also exhibits excellent hydrolysis resistance, ensuring good adhesion with various materials.

How to Print with 3D Water Based Ink?

1. The leather material should be surface treated with a treatment agent, while the mesh does not require any treatment.

2. For HD printing, use 3D water based ink as a base (recommended screen size 50-150 mesh) and add 3-5% water-based hardener. Ensure the base is printed flat; if it's uneven, the surface will also appear uneven.

3. During the printing process, it can be baked at a low temperature in a dryer, but ensure that the temperature does not exceed 80 degrees.

4. Once all colors have been printed, place them on a shelf before moving them into the drying room.
